Using outdoor adventures as a tool, we have joined the non-profit organization, Youth Investment (Timber Bay) to fight hopelessness and despair in the youth of the Bemidji, MN community and beyond. We can no longer stand on the sidelines and watch families be broken and lives of young people be shattered. Through our hunting, fishing, camping and backpacking trips we want to provide HOPE for a generation that is confused about what that means. We are in love with our creator Jesus and love sharing His Creation with the amazing young people He has brought into our lives. Please consider joining us. Timber Bay is supported 100% by individuals and businesses who share our passion to reach out to young people through the outdoors. There are very few organizations that do what we do YEAR ROUND with these kids in the outdoors. We feel that this is more than a one day commitment, it's our life!
Youth Investment Foundation est. in 1970, a Christian non-profit organization, sponsors Timber Bay Community Outreaches (in suburban, urban and rural areas in Minnesota; and in Iowa) and Timber Bay Camp and Retreat Center.
Our purpose is two-fold:
- to effect new attitudes and behavior as needed in youth through a growing faith in Christ and/or by supportive staff relationships.
- to create a sense of purpose, belonging and community with our youth, emphasizing self-worth, forgiveness, freedom from guilt, accountability, and a balanced perspective of authority and freedom.
